About Me
I'm a network engineer at Civica, working for the internet and managed services division. Its good fun, challenging and I get to play with kit that costs more than most cars. I'm easily distracted by shiny things and difficult puzzles, which probably explains why I work in IT.
I studied electronics engineering at Lancaster University and spent most of my time there as the systems admin for Bailrigg FM, as well as doing sound and lighting for amateur theatre groups.
I play games a lot, mainly board and miniature war games but also PC and console. I find the different sets of rules fascinating and really enjoy working out how to bend them to my advantage. I also enjoy winning...
I love to tinker and there are loads of projects in varying states of completion all vying for my attention. I mainly have electronics based bits and bobs on the go, but I also collect and paint figures for various wargames and have armies on the go for Flames of War, Warhammer Fantasy and 40,000. I've also got figures for Malifaux from Wyrd Miniatures and Infiniti from Corvus Belli
